It's that time of year... to party! OMG. We're already approaching the end of a whirwind Spring Quarter! We'd like to say thank you to everyone who made it out to another successful UCA Networking Night. We hope you met some fantastic speakers and got some great oppotunities and knowledge out of it! General Meeting with Internship 101!! Dear members, welcome back to Spring Quarter! We hope you had a fabulous Spring Break and our ready for UCA's events in these upcoming weeks! First off, you are invited to join us at our: GENERAL MEETING Week 2, Tuesday, April 8 6-7 pm @ Kerckhoff 133 **please note we are in the same room but different time** We'll be discussing our events for the quarter including:  - our annual Spring Networking Night - end-of year UCA Celebration We will also be holding an Internship 101 discussion to cover some basic info such as: - what is the CS185 course for? - credit v. paid internships - interning during summer v. during school and more, so come with your questions! Important notice! The TV Taping for "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" has been cancelled! Unfortunately the WGA Strike that is currently being held has forced studios to freeze the production of several shows and Craig Ferguson's falls under that category. We apologize to those who had planned on attending! We will be hosting more TV Tapings next quarter. At any rate, we hope to see you at UCA's Coffee and Tea with Professors this coming Tuesday, Nov 13, from 5-6 pm at Kerckhoff 133!! Interviews will be held at Kerckhoff Patio, just outside the coffeehouse. Melisa and Miri will both be wearing light blue. Open Board positions! We are now looking for motivated, proactive undergraduates to become board members this year. Please read through the following information very carefully: Available positions: Secretary (1): in charge of taking minutes of meetings, distributing them to the board, updating our member database, confirming member application emails Treasurer (1): oversees club monetary expenses, reimbursements, and budgets, manages our bank account Head of Advertising (1): in charge of making flyers, graphics needs, organizing general campus advertising Publicity Representatives (4): team to manage campus relations and club publicity who will each be assigned a spotlight event to act as head coordinator Fundraising Coordinators (2): team in charge of brainstorming and arranging fundraising opportunities for the club
*Board members are required to be lifetime members of UCA in support of our programs and also must attend mandatory weekly board meetings.
How to apply: 1. Print and fill out an application: download the application here. We will not accept internet submissions! Be sure to fill out all parts of the application and indicate your times of availability for an interview. *If you have an absolute conflict with the times listed, email uca0708@gmail.com and we will deal with individual cases separately. 2. Attach your resume to the back. 3. Turn in your completed materials by 3 pm on Friday, 10/5 to the Comm. Studies office at 2303 Rolfe Hall. Interviews: Interviews will take place Week 2 on Monday 10/8 and Wednesday 10/10 from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Interviews will last approximately 15 minutes and are mandatory for being considered. We will notify you of your designated interview time slot through email by Friday 10/5.
